Been in a weird headspace for the past couple of days. So, naturally, to get rid of it, I spent the evening drawing.
Normally, these would be drawings of Wyst, but I felt like drawing myself for once. Mostly because I’m out of practice drawing the kids. I haven’t really done any Kidspaced sketches since September (probably because all my energy there is going towards the book).
If I wasn’t drawing on the back of old sketchbook pages and actually had more space to doodle, I suspect “overdoing it” would have been some kind of uroboros circle. Seriously—even when I’m 100% conscious about it, I still do this for almost every project, hobby, event, and person in my life. Get excited, dive in, go too far, then run in the opposite direction. This is perhaps why my list of activities fluctuates so randomly at any point in time.
Speaking of activity fluctuations, what I wouldn’t give for a good anatomical drawing class in the area. I can’t think of anything more frustrating than trying to put pen to paper only to realize that you can’t accurately bring the image you have in your head into being.
